Who am I?
I wanted this section to be from me, personally. It’s important for everyone to share their story.
I was born and raised in Queens in New York City. My building was at the intersection of the LIE and Grand Central Parkway at Flushing Meadow Park, 5 minutes from LaGuardia and yes, I could see the Men In Black things from my window. Also, in Iron Man 2, Tony lands on the roof of the building I grew up in. One block to my right was Corona, a working class Latino neighborhood; two blocks straight and I’m in Rego Park, a neighborhood that welcomed my Eastern and Southern European ancestors and continues to maintain that culture; and the rest of the area was Forest Hills, which many may know as a wealthier neighborhood. I got a taste of all kinds of life.
I moved to Atlanta in 2015 after graduating from the University of Miami with an MBA; and I proceeded to spent every cent I had to live in a new apartment complex in Buckhead. I enjoyed it. But in 2016, I moved to Sandy Springs. It was a little quieter than I was used too, but it was beautiful and most importantly, affordable.
It’s been a long time since 2016. I spent almost two years here. I met my wife while living there. I made friends. Life took us to Miami, FL in 2018. We had a beautiful boy and got married. And now, life has brought us back to Sandy Springs.
It’s a pleasure being here again with a family. Now it’s time for me to give back. I have a 6 year old now; I’m invested in this community and want to make it the safest, cleanest, and happiest town we can be. I may be from somewhere else; but this is where I hang my hat (even if it is a Mets one).
